The history of the Industrie Maurizio Peruzzo Group dates back to the first years after the World War II, when two brothers: Maurizio and Albino Peruzzo launched the production of textile waste-based mattresses. The beginnings of the IMP Group in Poland are connected with the introduction of free market reforms in 1989, when the Polovat Company was established. The years 2000-2007 have brought the establishment of other IMP Group companies, the crowning of the development being the opening of a new IMP Comfort plant for the production of PET flakes-based polyester fibre. Industrie Maurizio Peruzzo Comfort Sp. z o.o. is the leader in the textile industry, both in Poland and in Europe. It produces polyester staple fibre as well as fibre-based products: high fluffy nonwovens OVATA® and needle-punched non wovens COMTESS® and GEOFORT®.

The Company’s products, in view of their functional properties, are used in many areas, such as: furniture, construction and clothes industry or as elements of car interior finishes. Each year we create their new functional properties, which allows us to increase the scope of their application. The IMP Comfort’s asset is the innovative approach to the production processes. Our flagship products are the OVATA®, high fluffy nonwovens, commonly used in the furniture and clothes and automotive industries.
