6th INTERESTING BOOK EXHIBITION

Event description

The Interesting Book Exhibition is the largest exhibition event in the Lodzkie region addressed to both publishing business and readers. The idea of the Exhibition is to promote reading among the inhabitants of Lodz and the region, and encourage children and young people to develop passion for reading.

The event is well attended – every year around 7 thousand people visit the Exhibition. During the three days of the Fair, visitors may seize an opportunity to meet authors and stars of a theater and a cinema as well as take part in discussion panels for librarians, industry conferences and performances and workshops of educational and art nature for children.
During the Vth edition of the event, over 60 exhibitors presented their offer. Among them, there were Znak, Nasza Księgarnia, Czarna Owca, Agora, Zakamarki, Sonia Draga, Helion, Zeszyty Literackie, Akapit Press, Azymut PWN, Burda Publishing National Geographic, Wydawnictwo Literatura, Wydawnictwo Księży Młyn and Wydawnictwo Galaktyka.

In 2015, we hosted 50 authors including: Katarzyna Bonda, Jan Hartman, Michał Ogórek, Vincent Severski, Stefan Turschmid, Krzysztof Beśka, Max Cegielski and Maciej Kronenberg.

The Interesting Book Exhibition guarantees also a rich program of accompanying events prepared for lovers of the literature. The program is co-created by the cultural institutions of the City of Lodz Office and the Lodzkie Voivodeship Government. Theaters, museums, cultural centers and libraries have prepared special events in literature, books, local history and traditions.

The VIth edition of the Interesting Book Exhibition is held from 18 to 20 November, 2016.
